Homemade Vegetable Broth with Vegetable Scraps

Here is my TIP for that I think you will love!! Homemade vegetable broth from your vegetable scraps.

When I am chopping any vegetables, the skins, peels etc. I put these into a bowl until I have finished my prepping of the meal. Take a gallon zip lock bag and store your vegetable scraps in your Freezer. Continue to add to the bag until it is full. Next in a large stock pan add your bag of vegetables, any herbs you like (I add thyme to mine) want and 3 Bay leaves.

Cover with water and bring to a slow boil. I like cooking mine longer as you get a wonderful dark aromatic broth. Place into 32 ounce freezer containers or Ball canning jars leaving 1 inch space at top for lid. Place in your freezer until needed.

This is so flavorful and you will never go back to store bought broth. ENJOY!!!!
